Vera's Jade Copper Bracelet

Some things you put on and immediately feel different. I made this piece for the days when your joints have been reminding you they're there. 

There's something about copper on the wrist the warmth it holds, the weight of it settling in. I set the jade inlay by hand. A strip of color that sits the way moss sits on stone like it was always meant to be there.

People who wear copper on their wrists keep wearing it. Forty years, and I've never had to explain why.
