Vera's Copper Tensor Ring

There's something about a ring that closes in on itself, coil after coil, that feels like it's holding on to something.

I twist each strand by hand until the pattern locks tight, working the wire slow, one turn at a time, the same way I've done it for forty years.

Copper worn close to the skin is a habit people have kept for a very long time. I don't ask why they keep coming back to it. I just keep making pieces that let them.
